Do you remember Georg and Yortuk Festrunk? Well, it may not be names that spring liltingly to lip. You might remember them better as Two Wild and Crazy Guys on SNL. Yeah, aka Dan Aykroid and Steve Martin. Not fellows you’d project to a final table, poker-wise. What they do seem to have is a style that was obvious in the polyester era on downtown Vegas streets.
But we are talking poker here. So, I guess I could ask Linda over at Pokerworks if she ever dealt to them or if they were on any of the final table she dealt in tournaments. She reported on Wild and Crazy Guys regularly seated at ring and tournament tables.
Our buddy Mojo did your standard walk of shame — not forgetting it was with only two others remaining at the WSOP senior event. Well, seniors you have to figure aren’t that wild or crazy unless they got hotroded walkers.
That’s usually the standard fare at tournaments. Producers scramble for the occasional moment with the bulk of their day spent trying to stay awake. Lipstick cams can add a bit of drama but that is usually two tables out of the hundreds present. The other hundreds resemble the robot section on an assembly line. Looks interesting for a bit until the repetitiousness shows one his error. Deal — toss-toss-toss–bet-fold.
Well, the folks at Poker Stars managed to turn one final table into a quirky Hitchcock thriller or a SNL sketch .
